Nel file fstab devi scrivere, nella riga corrispondente alla partizione fat da montare:

/dev/hdb3 /mnt/scambio vfat users,rw,umask=000 1 0

il mio fstab è uguale come da te descritto ma non succede nulla, ho un altra partizione fat e quella va senza problemi ma questa nulla rimangono i permessi settati a 755

hai sostituito al posto di /dev/hda3 il tuo identificatore della partizione, vero?

ma certo, la partizione la monta correttamente solo i non mi dà i permessi in scrittura, ho anche fatto un chmod e mi da' i permessi in scrittura solo per le cartelle all'interno ma non per la partizione. Uff
